There’s just something about sisters. 🥰 First of There’s just something about sisters. 🥰 First of all, I do all of my own art, and this is the best you’re getting (even if they’re supposed to be looking at their significant others lol). 😆 Second, I never intended for Enchanted Hollow to basically start with a trilogy. I planned on Ella’s story, then the remaining Jackson’s. But I was asked to join the Christmas Kisses and Cookie Crumbs series (with a release on the heels of Meet Me at Midnight) and Laila’s story was right there… so it seems only natural to go ahead and follow that up with Bridget’s story. I know there are authors out there who can plan each and book and series to a tee, with every last important detail… and I have learned that I am not one of those authors. 😆 Ella, Bridget and Laila have very much captured my heart over the years, and I hope they capture yours, too. In fact, I may have a couple of things up my sleeve. You’ll just have to keep an eye out and see what it is! The Enchanted Hollow series are cozy modern fairytale retellings set in a small town with Stars Hollow vibes (but make it magical), overlapping fairytales with long story threads like Once Upon a Time, and cozy magic. Embracing my inner cringe instead the “chic” trend Embracing my inner cringe instead the “chic” trend because that’s just how I roll. 😆🤣 Something has happened over the last few months. I’ve settled deep into a place where I just don’t care what people think anymore. I’ve spent so much of my life chasing accolades and approval and trying to “fit in”, and it’s cost me a whole lot of happiness and a whole lot of time. I tried to write books that would land on bookstagram roundups with other authors I look up to only to realize, I was just doing the same thing I always do (only in a different font)—I was muting parts of myself to be the most socially acceptable version of me, and then I was disappointed when it still didn’t work. Newsflash: it’s because when you’re tired of wearing a costume that doesn’t fit, it stops working. The cracks show through. Eventually you get burned out and stop showing up because you’re over feeling like you’re always performing. Guess what? I’m WEIRD. 😆 I speak in quotes, burst into random song (especially Hamilton, sorry not sorry), and my favorite kind of afternoon is sitting under a blanket watching a show or movie with my favorite people and laughing (or screaming or singing) our way through it. I have a bajillion playlists and was proudly the person people asked to burn CDs for outings or afternoons on the boat. Music moves me in ways I don’t understand, especially because I’ve never had a desire to be musical human. 🤣 My art is written. (Although I’ve gotten pretty decent as visual art, too.) And it doesn’t pick a lane. I don’t write rom-coms or contemporary romances. I don’t write strictly cozy fantasy or magical realism. I write modern fairytale retellings where the stories are inverted and twisted and they overlap like Once Upon a Time, because I love that show no matter how out of control it got. 🤣 There’s magic, there’s creatures that don’t exist in the “real” world, there are normal romance tropes (like best friends brother), and love stories that span over a decade. There are curses, there are fairy godmothers, there’s folklore. So call me cringe, whatever. At least I embrace it. 🤪 if there last anything you wanna know, just ask!
Life needs more whimsy, and that’s where I come in Life needs more whimsy, and that’s where I come in. I’ve spent this year overhauling my catalog to lean even harder into whimsy and magic—basically cozy fantasy but make it modern—because honestly, I prefer to leave the real world behind when I read. (And when I write!) Enchanted Hollow has some secrets that are going to be revealed in the next couple of weeks, but I can tell you the rest now. 😏 Riverglen is inspired by San Marcos/New Braunfels, one of my favorite places in the Texas Hill Country. You can float the river under massive trees, you can visit Once Upon a Kingdom (think Disney but obviously NOT Disney) and see real mermaids in the lagoon or ride a real unicorn. You can head to a Bananas type baseball game with the Sasquatches, or you can cheer on the Frost Giants during football season. It is the ULTIMATE in whimsy, friends. Enchanted Hollow and Midnight Grove are rival towns across Mirror Lake from each other. So far, Midnight Grove hasn’t had a TON of mentions… but I want to share a sneak peek about it. You see… I do love fairytales. But I also love Edgar Allen Poe. And Dracula. And southern gothic vibes—if you’ve never seen an oak tree dripping in Spanish moss over water at sunset, I can’t recommend it enough. I love whimsical ghost stories (Nora Roberts some beautifully done romances with paranormal elements) and it’s an itch I just haven’t been able to scratch—so I’m planning to step into that world eventually. Please know though, that whatever I write will ALWAYS be cozy! Storywood Ridge, Colorado is a whimsical small town in Colorado where Lark the Lake “monster” lives. Is she real? No one knows for sure but you can sure buy a stuffed animal or a tshirt. 😆 There’s a sentient inn, the town likes to chime in (literally) and help match couples, and there’s a tree farm full of Christmas magic. Wherever you want to visit, whimsy and magic and LOVE are waiting for you. 💜 📣Where would you go? Where would you like to learn more about?

Requirements: must be unputdownable, cozy romances or cozy fantasy. 😍 I've been in a fall reading mood for a solid month now, and while I've read quite a few (way, way more than pictured), I'm sure there are some cozy fall reads I haven't! Yes, I have The Spellshop (no I haven't finished it yet), as well as a few others that are taking me longer to get into/read than I'd like. I'm a mood reader and sometimes books don't grab me as fast as I'd like and I have to keep trying until the mood strikes, haha! This town feels like it belongs in the ‘90s but was forced to semi play catch up with technology to stay relevant in this world, and some characters are more keen to adjust than others. (Luke despises the group chat option with siblings, but they just won’t leave him alone.) Marriage of convenience has been heavy on my mind Marriage of convenience has been heavy on my mind lately, and I guess it’s because I’ve been revisiting Chloe and Aiden. 🤭 There are a lot of things that make it a superior trope—the “my wife” moments, the falling in love when you’re technically already supposed to be there, the domestic behaviors that slip in when you’re existing in the same spaces. But the sometimes there’s a delicious second layer to the story, that gives it an extra oomph. I’m pretty partial to Once Upon a Winter Beast (always have been) and in this case, it’s the single mom trope. It’s watching an eldest daughter single mom, who always prioritizes every one else… learn a little something about being take care of. It’s watching a man who’s never been a father step up to the plate and fill the role, even though that’s not in the “terms”. (Technically.) I’m an absolutely sucker for a good man romancing a woman while also taking care of a child (or multiple children)… especially if there’s a baby involved. (Might’ve stumbled on a couple of those over the weekend!!) And then I really tipped over the edge because it’s a Beauty and the Beast retelling. 😆🥰 *sigh* All my favorites in one beautiful story. Side note: I was going to make a post about this book being a grief rep book for mental health May and to be honest, I’m coming out of some grief related funk and didn’t want to. 🤷‍♀️ I handle it with care in this book, and I’m honestly very proud of that—I just don’t want to fixate on it. 💜 But anyways: enjoy this closed door/no spice marriage of convenience round up!
