With A Broken Heart
The readers have spoken (at least some of them have) and they’d really like to know Holly’s story!
The funny thing is, I actually planned for Holly’s story to come first. I even started plotting and writing it. But I’d spent so long talking about Luke and Ella’s story (two and half years), my husband drew a line in the sand and said “No. Write them first.”
He did this for multiple reasons: the main being (I think) that I was driving both of us nuts by talking about this couple so often. He knew I needed to get this story out. It’s actually prevented me from finishing other books (looking at you Sophie and Andrew). But I was also originally talking about Holly’s story being a novella, possibly even the reader magnet for this series, and he was like “Nope. Write a book.”
Sometimes the man knows me better than I know myself.
As Meet Me at Midnight took a bigger, more defined shape, so did Enchanted Hollow. And the lore of the town. And all the fairy tale tidbits I wanted to infuse into the story. I love fairytales.
Looking back now, it would have been a crime to release Holly first with the way Ella’s story evolved as I kept drafting it. I wasn’t in a place to tell Holly’s story yet. Writing is a truly bizarre process sometimes!
Thankfully, my sweet little Snow White is ready to tell her story, and her Prince Charming is excited for everyone to watch them fall in love. I suppose I owe you a couple of deleted chapters from Homecoming in Enchanted Hollow! 😉
I don’t have a release date yet because there’s more gelling behind the scenes that I’m trying to get a grip on, and I want to make sure I can make whatever pre-order date I set! But I’m aiming (strongly) for May-ish. Holly’s story takes place from ~May through the fall, which makes it hot in Texas but with a Snow Queen for a mayor and Enchanted Hollow being a lakeside town, I think things will turn out fine for them!
Want a little sneak peek?? (Disclaimer: this may not stay the same and is currently unedited)

What do you think? Are you excited to meet Holly before the events of Meet Me at Midnight? If you haven’t already, be sure and grab the book to get to know the town! If you love Once Upon a Time, I think you’ll love visiting Enchanted Hollow.
Each book is an interconnected standalone that is best read in order, with overlapping fairytales throughout. Readers have said there are Stars Hollow/Good Witch vibes and the magic has a fun vibe–which is what I love to hear!
