I do not have the emotional bandwidth right now to get out two books or the financial means to get two books edited, or even proofread. I’m sure you’re like: two books?? Yes, I have two books in the works and one is speaking to me more than the other—unfortunately it wasn’t this one. You may remember my announcement about Hallmark last year—I’m trying (pray for me) to get this book out before fall in book world is over. Timing has been kind of a mess, and since I am one who needs all her ducks in a row for my creative juices to cooperate… well, here we are. I’m excited to have some of the pressure off me, and I’m excited to bring these books to the world. 💜 I go into detail about this in my newsletter and kind of in the group, but the short version is that Andrew and Sophie will get their them in the limelight… it just won’t be right now. I usually shine under pressure, but the last month has thrown some curveballs that prevented me from really being able to dig in and focus. And that’s ok. I want to release the best version of this book, and that wasn’t going to happen. Keep your eyes peeled because as soon as I’m able, I’ll be sharing the new expected release date. 🥰

We’ve started a tradition that my kids love. The We’ve started a tradition that my kids love. There’s this family farm close-ish to us—filled with activities and quiet and beauty and memories I want to lock up tight in a keepsake box. 🥰 We went last fall when there were pumpkins everywhere, and we spent the day there today, surrounded by flowers. My husband even got to come this time, which made it even better, because of the hours he works these days. If you were to ask my kids their favorite part of today I’d get a lot of varied answers, but I think flowers, zip lines, screaming goats, and a belly full of Mexican food at the end of all tops the list. 💜 I MAY have also packed a paperback to use for the express purpose of taking a photo in this Zinnia field (and the sunflower field) because it occurred to me that I forgot to celebrate Harper and Flynn back in March. WHOOPS! So happy belated book birthday to my odd couple, and happy family fun day to us. 🥰
